Classic 2CV Racing Club Join BRSCC portfolio

Recognised for its famously friendly paddock, ultra-close racing, and accessible costs, the Classic 2CV Racing Club has been a staple of UK club motorsport for over three decades. From 2026, the championship will join the BRSCC with a full calendar of sprint and endurance events — headlined by its iconic 24-hour race at Snetterton, which returns once again as the marquee fixture next summer.

With cars converted from road going Citroen 2CVs and a tightly controlled set of technical regulations focused on reliability and parity, the series continues to attract a unique mix of seasoned racers, enthusiastic newcomers, and even the occasional professional name. Over the years, its grid has welcomed everyone from BTCC stars to presenters from BBC’s Top Gear — a true testament to the enduring appeal of 2CV racing.

Paul McErlean, BRSCC Chief Operations Officer, said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Classic 2CV Racing Club to the BRSCC family. This is a championship built on passion, teamwork and some of the most entertaining grassroots racing in the UK. The 24-hour race at Snetterton is a standout fixture, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting its continued success. It’s a real privilege to help ensure the future of such a cherished part of British motorsport.”

Matthew Hollis of the Classic 2CV Racing Club, added:

“Joining the BRSCC marks an exciting new chapter for our club. Their reputation for delivering high-quality events and championing grassroots motorsport made them the ideal partner for the future. We’re looking forward to working together to continue offering close, competitive racing — all while preserving the spirit, accessibility, and community that have defined 2CV racing for more than 30 years.”
