CLIVE HODGKIN – 1949-2016

CATEGORIES:

We have just heard the very sad news that Clive Hodgkin, double Alfa Romeo champion (1987 & 1989), founder Championship panel member and prolific race car preparer, died on Saturday morning after a two year fight against cancer.

There will not be a formal funeral but a gathering at a later date to celebrate his life and achievements. Apart from his successes as a driver and with Avon Racing, Clive had always been someone who encouraged so many competitors both young and old to start racing and to persevere. His contribution to the success of Alfa racing in the UK has been immense, particularly since the formation of ARCA in 2001 when he was instrumental in retaining the long standing support of the BRSCC.

Our thoughts are with Christine, James, Andrea and their two children of whom Clive was so proud. A full appreciation will appear on the ARCA website in due course. We have all lost a good friend.
