DEMON TWEEKS TO HEADLINE SPONSOR AUDI TT CUP RACING CHAMPIONSHIP & TYRE DEAL DETAILS
The British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to reach an agreement with renowned motorsport parts and equipment supplier Demon Tweeks to become a prime sponsor to the club’s 2024 Audi TT Cup Racing Championship.
Demon Tweeks sports a long and rich history within UK motorsport, formed and founded in 1971 by established racing driver and motorsport stalwart Alan Minshaw, and in that time has become a respected and renowned supplier of racewear, as well as parts and equipment for race cars, performance cars and motorcycles for more than sixty years. In addition to a wide and varied selection, Demon Tweeks’ extensive expertise, knowledge and dedication to the support ensures they can provide the highest quality of service to its customers, and continue to stock some of the very best brands available in the world of motorsport.
The agreement between BRSCC and Demon Tweeks will see the brand feature as a prime sponsor to the Audi TT Cup Racing Championship, one of the fastest growing one-make contests in British club motorsport. The championship has already attracted over forty registered drivers, and a maximum grid is expected at the season opening rounds at Brands Hatch on April 13/14. As one of the permanent supporting championships to the TCR UK Touring Car Championship, it’s set to be one of the most talked about motorsport competitions of 2024.
The Demon Tweeks logo will feature on the windscreen sunstrip of every Audi TT Cup Racing car throughout the 2024 season, providing a prime placement and a clear opportunity to be seen both trackside and on the superb live stream coverage to be broadcast from every TCR UK race weekend throughout the year. Alongside this, Demon Tweeks branding will also feature on the relevant broadcast graphics for every Audi race, as well as inclusion in social media content and presence on the dedicated Formulae page on the BRSCC website.
The contribution from Demon Tweeks to the championship will see the company directly supporting the drivers, this by means of helping them manage their tyre costs through the race season. The control tyre for 2024 and beyond is the Dunlop Direzza, and through the mandatory supplier Mr Tyre Motorsport, for each 3 tyres purchased in a single order registered drivers will be given a 4th tyre completely free of charge. Tyre allocation per driver for the season is capped at 16 units, meaning that competitors can benefit from a maximum of 4 free race tyres through the season.
On announcing the terms of the new agreement, BRSCC’s Chief operating Officer Paul McErlean said, “Demon Tweeks has been a strong supporter of UK club motorsport and the BRSCC for many years, and they know that keeping costs as low as possible for competitors is hugely important. We’re delighted that they’ve come on board to help showcase the country’s fastest growing tin-top championship, and their direct support to the drivers is a unique way of delivering them something tangible to help their racing costs”.
Demon Tweeks’ Motorsport Manager Guy Minshaw added, “We’re all really excited at Demon Tweeks to be involved in what promises to be a fantastic championship which is going from strength to strength. We think it’s important for motorsport to have super competitive championships with big grids which give up and coming drivers and seasoned competitors alike a great platform for their journey in motorsport. It’s equally important to see Demon Tweeks supporting these guys and we’re delighted to be partnered with the BRSCC Audi TT Cup Racing Championship. The team here at DT are looking forward to being involved and seeing everyone out on track throughout the season.”
