Spectators at the BRSCC East Anglian Centre run Britcar meeting at Snetterton last weekend had to do a double take for both the double-header rounds of the Competition Car Insurance Ford Fiesta Championship and the Cardinus Formula 3 Championship.

Ipswich’s David Ellesley took the chequered flag in both Fiesta races to close the gap on leader David Nye at the top of the points table. Meanwhile, in the Cardinus F3 Championship, the podium had an identical look for both rounds with Chris Needham on the top step and Damien Charveriat and Mark Terry, in second and third respectively.

The double theme was continued in both the Britcar Production and Britcar GT races where father and son pairings were the order of the day. In the former, David & Robert Fenn took victory while the latter was won by Michael & Sean McInerney.

Results were of a more singular nature in the three Sports 2000 races with wins going to Mike Jenvey (Duratec), Oliver Stirling (Pinto) and a combination of Chris Snowden and Martin Ellis in the endurance race.
