FIESTA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP TO REINTRODUCE MRF WET WEATHER TYRE

Following on from thorough discussions and consultation with both teams and parents of participating drivers, it has been agreed that the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship racing with MRF Tyres will reintroduce the MRF 195/580-15 compound of wet weather tyre into the 2020 regulations, on the grounds of offering better compliance in respective weather conditions.

A request has been sent through to Motorsport UK to accommodate the reintroduction and we are awaiting official clarification before presenting an updated version of the 2020 Fiesta Junior Championship regulations in due course. Once this has been confirmed, we will distribute the updated document to all participating drivers and teams as soon as possible.

In addition, we have also renegotiated the purchase price of the MRF 195/580-15 wet weather tyre for all Fiesta Junior and Fiesta Championship competitors, reducing the cost for competitors and teams and providing a further benefit to them for 2020. Anyone purchasing their first set of wet weather tyres for this season will receive a reduction in cost from £540 to £380, indicating a saving of £160. Any subsequent wet weather tyre sets purchased throughout the season will be priced at £460, a reduction of £80 per set.
