GEOFF PAGE ENGINEERING TO HEADLINE SPONSOR SUPER CLASSIC PRE ’99 FORMULA FORD CHAMPIONSHIP

The British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to announce that Geoff Page Engineering has been confirmed as the headline sponsor for this year’s Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford Championship.

Founding his engineering outfit in 2007, Geoff can boast a wide and extensive range of experience within the world of motorsport. After competing in karting and Formula Ford 1600 amongst other disciplines, his tandem engineering work led him to aid in the build and maintenance of engines for a number of renowned Group B rally cars, including the Ford RS200, MG Metro 6R4 and Audi Quattros in the UK.

Geoff’s engineering career led him to set up his first solo outfit, East Coast Racing, with which he also has experience running and maintaining engines in Formula 1 throughout the 1980s and 1990s (including Tyrrell, Arrows and Pacific), in the WRC courtesy of Mountune and for cars in IMSA in the USA. Eventually in 2007, Geoff decided to create Geoff Page Racing which still runs to this day, specialising in engines for turbo Formula 1 cars, rally cars, touring cars, sports cars and more.

The Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford Championship is the BRSCC’s dedicated contest for 1600cc Kent-engined Formula Ford race cars built between 1967 and 1998, reliving the glory days of the category. The 2024 season will see the championship taking in some of the UK’s best loved circuits for Formula Ford racing, such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park and Mallory Park.

As part of the headline sponsor agreement between the championship and Geoff Page Engineering will see decals of the latter feature on all competing cars throughout the 2024 season at every round of the calendar. In addition, Geoff Page Engineering branding will be present for all live streamed Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford races, along with inclusion in social media content and presence on the dedicated Formulae page on the BRSCC website.

Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford Championship coordinator Alan Bowles lauded the new agreement, stating: “I am delighted to welcome Geoff Page Engineering as the new headline sponsor for the 2024 Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford Championship. Geoff and his staff are specialists in their field of restoration on classic racing cars and engines, their level of preparation is second to none and I welcome their involvement in the championship. It is excellent news of having a top-line company involved as we aim to grow the championship in terms of numbers and profile. It will also be fitting that the company director will be joining our grid when work commitments allow.”

Geoff Page added, “I am very happy to be involved with Formula Ford and the Super Classic Pre ‘99 Formula Ford Championship. My passion for this goes way back into the early 1980s when I would be a regular participant at Brands Hatch, both as a spectator and competitor in pre-74 with an Elden Mk10-C. I love Formula Ford to this day and still think that the formula will always show up the most talented drivers due to the low levels of grip.”
