PBS BRAKES TO TITLE SPONSOR SUPERSPORT ENDURANCE CUP IN 2024

The British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to confirm a new agreement with PBS-Brakes to become title sponsor of the BRSCC SuperSport Endurance Cup for 2024.

Owned and managed by experienced club racer Chris Coomer, PBS-Brakes is a leading race and track day brake pad manufacturer, which supports a wide number of club level championships series across the UK.

PBS-Brakes delivers a combination of professional manufacturing with a real passion for motorsport, and the company works with top motorsport individuals to ensure its pads produce the highest levels of quality and performance.

Having been thoroughly proven within a range of competitive racing series throughout Europe, PBS-Brakes has consistently showcased the performance of their top quality products.

PBS-Brakes and the BRSCC have enjoyed an existing working relationship across a selection of their Formulae portfolio over a number of years, and this new agreement between the Club and PBS-Brakes will see the latter feature on the number plates and front sun strips of all cars competing within the SuperSport Endurance Cup throughout the 2024 season.

In addition, PBS-Brakes branding will be present for all live streamed SuperSport Endurance Cup races, along with inclusion in social media content and presence on the dedicated Formulae page on the BRSCC website.

After it first ran as a pilot series throughout 2021 and 2022, the SuperSport Endurance Cup enjoyed a successful and well supported first full championship season in 2023, featuring a two hour race format, up to three drivers per car, a diverse six class structure based on power to weight ratio and mandatory pit stops which include refuelling. After a successful 2023 which saw the VW Scirocco of Stuart Mead and Tim Hartland become the first overall SuperSport Endurance champions, the 2024 season is looking set to build on the solid foundation laid by last year’s championship.

On confirming their new partnership, BRSCC’s head of formulae development Greg Graham said, “Chris and PBS-Brakes have been valued supporters of the Club for a few years now, and their brake pads are regularly chosen by competitors throughout our racing portfolio. To see PBS-Brakes becoming title sponsor for one of our most prominent championships for 2024 further builds on our great mutual relationship and will hopefully deliver an enhanced level of visibility for the PBS brand.”

On behalf of PBS-Brakes, Chris Coomer responded, “It’s always nice to see our products being used successfully by club racers, and within the BRSCC racing membership we have many loyal customers. With it being a multi-class championship where numerous types of cars can benefit from the performance and durability of our brake pads, it makes great sense to take title sponsorship of the SuperSport Endurance Cup as another step in promoting the quality of PBS products, not only to the championship but to the wider marketplace.”

All registered SuperSport Endurance Cup and ClubSport Trophy drivers will receive a discount on all products at www.pbs-brakes.com
