PROVISIONAL 2017 MAZDA MX-5 CALENDARS UNVEILED

After much deliberation and work behind the scenes, the time has now come for us to officially unveil the provisional 2017 calendars for the both the BRSCC's Mazda MX-5 Championship and Mazda MX-5 SuperCup. Of course, we stress the word provisional!
During this season, a poll was taken of the drivers to gauge interest in which circuits they wanted to race at for 2017. Some circuits were outstanding favourites, whilst others weren't so much and as such this was taken into consideration when constructing the calendar for next season. As a result, we are please to reveal that next year's Championship is currently set to feature the following dates and venues:
Rounds 1, 2 & 3 – Brands Hatch Indy – April 8/9
Rounds 4, 5 & 6 – Cadwell Park – May 6/7
Rounds 7, 8 & 9 – Silverstone National – May 27/28
Rounds 10, 11 & 12 – Oulton Park International – June 17
Rounds 13, 14 & 15 – Snetterton 300 – July 15/16
Rounds 16, 17 & 18 – Anglesey International – August 5/6
Rounds 19, 20 & 21 – Croft – September 16/17
Rounds 22, 23 & 24 – Donington Park National – October 14/15
As you can see, there's one main change to the calendar for 2017 in that every single meeting will feature three races each, making them all triple headers. This means more competitive track time for all drivers involved. There's also welcome returns to two Northern venues as both Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire and Croft in North Yorkshire make a re-appearance on the calendar after last being featured in 2015.
Once again, please note that all of these dates are strictly provisional and could be subject to change. Registration forms will be distributed to all of last year's competitors shortly, plus you can also find information on how to get involved via the website of both championships – brsccmazda.com and mx5supercup.co.uk.
