SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED FOR WATKINS LECTURE
The Motorsport Safety Fund has announced the guest speakers for their annual ‘Watkins Lecture’ which takes place at the Autosport Show. No fewer than three giants of Formula 1 will feature at the lecture with Red Bull's Christian Horner and Adrian Newey in conversation with driver turned pundit Martin Brundle.
The event will take place at 11.15am on Friday 14 January, during the Autosport International Show at NEC Birmingham. The lecture is named after Professor Sid Watkins – F1's safety pioneer- who made the very first presentation, and is an ever-increasing highlight of the Autosport International Show, regularly attracting over 500 delegates. Previous presenters have been: Professor Sid Watkins (twice), Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, Max Mosley, Niki Lauda, David Richards CBE, Dr Terry Trammell, Martin Brundle, Ross Brawn, Bernie Ecclestone, Malcolm Wilson, Ron Dennis CBE and Adrian Newey – a veritable who's who of world motorsport. The lecture is primarily for the benefit of those directly involved in the field of marshalling and entry is strictly by ticket only.
