STRONG PORSCHE GRID HEADS TO SNETT
The Toyo Tires Porsche drivers head to Norfolk this weekend for two races on the Snetterton 300 circuit at a BARC run meeting. The weather promises to be a somewhat drier than the championship experienced in 2012, when torrential rain on both days very nearly scuppered the event.
Seventeen Boxsters and thirteen 924s will combine to provide a very strong grid. In the Boxsters, Richard Styrin, who is still feeling the after effects from a recent road accident, will come under severe pressure from the likes of Will Sharpe, Steven Boyles and Jonathan Greensmith, who have all been visitors to the Class A podium already this season.
In the Class B Boxsters, Rebecca Jackson will be looking to maintain her Zandvoort form, where the Reading based driver collected two class wins.
In the 924s, Will's brother Hen Sharpe will be bursting to return to racing having missed the Zandvoort round. He is currently fourth in class with Simon Hawksley leading. Alastair Kirkham and Clive Morrison are close behind, both within a handful of his points.
Popular long-term Championship competitors Andrew Hannington and Sean Siddall will also make their return at Snett, Andrew in a 924 and Sean stepping up to a Class A Boxster.
