In an annoucement made yesterday, TCR UK stated that the manufacturer demo day will take place on November 29th at Brands Hatch. This will be a prime opportunity for prospective drivers and teams looking to enter the 2018 season to sample any of seven different homologated cars that will be in attendance. The manufacturers that will be present include:

Alfa Romeo (Romeo Ferraris)
Audi (Audi Sport Customer Racing)
Hyundai (Hyundai Motorsport)
Honda (JAS Motorsport)
Opel (Kissling Motorsport)
SEAT (SEAT Sport)
Volkswagen (Volkswagen Motorsport)

Representatives from Peugeot Sport will also be in attendance in person, however they will not have a car available for the demo day as their new 308 TCR is still in development.

Drivers will either need to hold an International C grade race licence, or a National A licence that has enough signatures to be upgraded to International C, in order to be able to take to the track. The cost to drive one of the TCR cars will range from £250-£650 depending on the respective manufacturer. Any drivers and teams interested in sampling TCR machinery are required to e-mail TCR UK’s Championship Manager Jennifer Mouratsing at jen@tcruk.co.uk to confirm your place and also to obtain further details.

In addition, the 2018 TCR UK Media Day has also had its date confirmed, with the event taking place on March 6th 2018 at Silverstone. It will be open to the public, so anyone wishing to get up close and personal with the runners and riders for the inaugural season will have a prime chance to do so here.

In other news, Vital Equipment have been confirmed as the fuel suppliers for TCR UK next season, while the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup will also be joining the support package for 3 meetings next year. The champion of next year’s VW Cup will also earn themselves a test in a SEAT Leon TCR courtesy of Maximum Motorsport.
