The BRSCC are running two very different meetings this weekend. At Donington Park the Midland Centre are organising the Fun Cup Raceday on Saturday, while over at Snetterton our East Anglian Centre are staging a two-day Sprint event.

The Fun Cup Championship will enjoy exclusive access to the National circuit at Donington as they are the only championship on the schedule. After a morning qualifying session of two and a quarter hours, the 28 Fun Cup teams have a one-hour sprint race before lunch, followed by a four-race in the afternoon. The 2012 champions, Racelogic, are the early season pace setters following last month’s Oulton Park opener. The experienced trio of Julian Thomas, Joachim Ritter and Nigel Greensall have a narrow six-point leader over Bram de Groot and Steve Johansen of Nimbus Racing.

Over at Snetterton, fifty-four competitors from the two groups of this year’s Pistonheads.com Caterham Academy Championship will participate in their penultimate sprint race. Next up is Blyton in June before they have their first circuit race at Donington in July. Chris Hutchinson is the current leader in Group 1, while Will Smith heads Group 2.

An additional seventy-nine competitors will take part in National A, National B and the SBD HSA Speed Championship Sprints on the Snetterton 100 circuit over the two days.
