W Series, the all-new motor racing championship for female drivers only, has added PUMA Motorsport to its expanding family of world-class partners as it gears up for the opening race of the season at Hockenheim, Germany, in May.

PUMA is intimately associated with the highest levels of motorsport.  The sports company currently supplies Scuderia Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing within Formula 1 as well as BMW Motorsport in DTM, IMSA, WEC and Formula E; and Team Penske in NASCAR and IndyCar.

The PUMA Motorsport partnership with W Series concentrates on the supply of high-performance flame-retardant racewear for W Series’ drivers and reserve drivers, to ensure Formula 1 standards of safety, performance and comfort. The triple-layer Nomex race suits will be uniquely tailored to optimise fit for each driver.

Dave Ryan, W Series Racing Director said:
“We’re delighted to welcome PUMA to W Series. PUMA has an outstanding reputation for quality and technology, and that strongly complements our own mission – to achieve the highest standards of safety and performance for our drivers.”

James Clark, Head of Sports Marketing Motorsport at PUMA said:
“Having a leading product offering for women is one of our strategic priorities and we are excited that W Series allows us to combine this with our successful heritage in motorsports.

“We are looking forward to elevating talented woman drivers and get them to the pinnacle of racing.”

Catherine Bond Muir, W Series CEO said:
“It’s tremendously exciting to partner with a huge global brand such as PUMA – especially as we share so many key performance and innovation values. We are already working together on activation programmes to take our respective products to new audiences across the globe.”
