NEW PRO, CLUB AND MASTERS CATEGORIES FOR ST240 CHAMPIONSHIP

Following the regulation changes which see the Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship exclusively now for ST240-spec cars, the BRSCC has taken another step in the development of the championship with the introduction of a refreshed class structure.

Similar to that found in other BRSCC series, the ST240 Championship will now feature a “Pro” and “Club” class structure. The Pro class will be attractive to those drivers who feel capable of fighting for podiums and potential championship wins, as well as those who are career minded and wish to use the Fiesta ST240 as a stepping stone to the next level of motorsport. As a mandatory rule, any drivers that have previously claimed a podium finish in an ST240 class car will automatically be allocated to the Pro class.

The Club class caters for those drivers who simply want to enjoy racing a Fiesta ST240 with like-minded drivers who don’t necessarily want to pressure themselves by feeling they have to run at the front of the pack.

This season will also see the introduction of a Masters Trophy for drivers aged 45 and over. The eventual winner will be the Masters competitor with the highest number of points scored overall. This has proven to be a successful sub-contest in other BRSCC championships and series and its inclusion within the Fiesta ST240 Championship is set to prove this further.

We’re looking forward to yet another great season of ST240 racing, and hope that the new class structure makes it even more enjoyable for the competitors and teams.
