SUPERSPORT ENDURANCE CUP EXPANDS CLASS STRUCTURE FOR 2023

With the SuperSport Endurance Cup heading into its first full season with championship status, following interest and feedback from current and potential competitors over the off-season, we’ve amended the class structure slightly by expanding it from five to six!

The main change is an increase in the maximum cap on BHP per tonne, as the additional class (which also now becomes Pro-A) can now accommodate eligible cars ranging between 311 to the new cap of 350bhp per tonne. This now opens up the possibility for even faster and more powerful cars to take part while still maintaining a class structure that provides a wide range of opportunities for many makes, models and specifications of car to compete and succeed.

The updated class structure now reads as follows:

Pro-A – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio between 311 – 350bhp per tonne

Pro-B – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio between 271 – 310bhp per tonne

Pro-C – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio between 231 – 270bhp per tonne

Clubman-A – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio between 191 – 230bhp per tonne

Clubman-B – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio between 151 – 190bhp per tonne

Clubman-C – Cars with a power-to-weight ratio up to 150bhp per tonne

As before, all cars competing must run on List 1A/ 1B/ 1c tyres as listed by Motorsport UK (slick tyres, cut slicks, moulded slicks or wet race tyres are NOT permitted), and all cars must ensure their car complies with the Section K Safety Criteria Regulations in the current Motorsport UK Yearbook.
