It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s friendly, it’s cost-effective… it’s the Vinyl Detail Fiesta ST150 Challenge!

The championship’s roots stretch all the way back to the 1980s when it was known as the XR Challenge, and this long-standing home for Ford saloons has been providing great racing at a reasonable price for many decades.

The championship went through a landmark change for 2023, as after the introduction of the Mk6 Ford Fiesta ST150 as a class back in 2018, that year saw the first to feature only ST150s on the grid, with two specifications now competing. One spec is the pre-existing ST150s that have raced in the Challenge since 2018 and are built to something similar to a Group N specification, while the other sees the ST150 class cars that previous ran in the BRSCC Fiesta Championship. Both specifications of ST150 are performance balanced to make them as competitive and even as each other, with adjustments made where necessary.

The calendar for the championship features some of the best circuits in the UK such as Brands Hatch and Donington Park, and has also frequented other top venues in the past such as Silverstone and Snetterton. In addition, the ST150 Challenge continues enjoys a large support base in the North West and as such, circuits like Oulton Park, Anglesey, Croft and Cadwell Park are seen as firm favourites to many.
